Old School and still holding it down! I feel blessed to still be healthy enough to skim well and enjoy it. Most skimmer's don't seem to age well, it is a pretty unforgiving sport! I have OG status where I live in Rhode Island and I just love seeing how the sport has progressed in my own back yard. When i started skimming there were only about 4 of us, now there's hundreds of kids skimming and many are skimming well. It might seem cheesey, but I feel partly responsible for my local skim scene and want to see it countinue to thrive. I want to see more groms step it up. Who will be the next pro out of little rhodey?
Eww...who cares about them, they're the ones with the problems lol. It's cool that you keep competing through it all though. How do they judge the eastcoast contests? I know at the vic it's like they judge your best 4 or 5 waves. Is it the same? Best of luck to you in your next contest!
hey michele! yeah i totally remember you. i doubt i'll be going to any more comps till next year. i've got some work priorities this year, unfortunately. next year it's on though!!
Hi Michele! Lol it's nice to see more girl skimmers. I live in Hawaii for most of the year but I go and visit my mom in CT for like 2 months or so. I haven't tried skimming there. I was gonna try RI but I didn't bring my board with me. I haven't been skimming that long and haven't been able to make it to any contests yet, but I'm hoping I'll be able to one day. You look like you're killing it yourself, any more pics? You skim the east coast contests? Do you know Anna?
I think I found you guys through skim magazine but I'm actually not sure. Been home sick for like 4 days so it's all a blur of Jeffersons episodes and screwing around on the computer.
Don't have video cuz it's hard to find someone to do it! I'm working on it though.
