btw, keaio, we are currently leading to organize our skim community here in the Philippines. There are great riders out here especially in the far flung areas away from the metro (kids, who perhaps hasn't even touched a keyboard). Our first goal is to standardize the whole scoring system of competitions here in the Philippines. So that if we may have to represent ourselves in International competitions we know we'll be sending the best and most deserving from the country. We're really bent on uniting skimboarders here in P.I., give skimboards to kids who has fishermen for parents and the beach for their playground, find and support REALLY GREAT talent, and of course SPREAD the FUN!!! For a start, maybe we could get some ideas from you guys... and tips too. and your scoring system or how it's done.
Surprisingly, we're just starting to get organized here event though we're surrounded by shores. We'd really appreciate it if you could throw in some guidelines, if you have one.
ANyhoooooo this is getting loooooong... I hope to get some lessons from you! See yah on cyberspace keiao! (or some time in the future here in our islands too! :)
The VIC will be cool, I've never made it to that one. I heard you placed well last year? Libby Randel is an East Coast rider you've skimmed against, I showed her that reverse sider footy (that was awesome by the way). I just got back from Alley-Ooop in Cabo and it was wonderful! Hanging with Paulo and Jason Wilson, watching them rip those waves was amazing! I really want to show you the skim in RI if you ever make it to that area again, hopefully you'll get some good conditions if you do. Hawaii Shh was rad!
Keiao,
I just decided today I'm going to Cabo again this year on an Alley-Oop skim adventure! You should go this year! It's the coolest trip I've ever been on. It's 1,300bucks, it seems a little steep but it inculdes everything but airfair (food, car, hotel). The whole week Paulo Prietto and Jason Wilson are our guides. It's super cool! Come! Cut off date is March 1st!!! http://www.alleyoopskimcamp.com/alleyOopAdventure.php
