Anyways, thanks I've been working really hard on making new pieces of art and also a artist rave exhibit party here in my hometown cause it really sucks here! No fun at all! Hope everything is great on your side of the island lol.

I will be taking a road trip up the coast to start illustrating my 1st children's book then skimming Santa Cruz. My book is about a young Hawaiian monk seal who learns how to skimboard. I plan to publish it by the end of this year!

Blah, a lot of things have been falling for me. I am trying to keep a positive outlook. Just got out of a relationship as well... blah blah... blah. lol for example, I sold my car so my family could keep our home. Like that kind of bad.

So we had the first contest for the Hawaii circuit on sat and it went well...but as of now the word is that the Maui contest is going to be moved to May. But! there's a contest the month before that so I don't think they're gonna stick with it bc it's supposed to be every other month. As of right now the word is in May.

At 6:58am on November 8, 2008, keiao said…: hey Mike, as far as I know there the Save Makena contest on Maui is supposed to be an annual thing. this year it was in august I believe the 23rd or something. so I would guess around that time again. Hawaii is also starting up a skim league called Hawaii Amateur Skimboarding League and they'll probably be posting the 2009 contest schedule soon. In April there should be a contest on Oahu and it said June, July are contests on Kauai and Maui...so I'm not too sure. The head guy comes back on sunday from a trip so I'll talk to him and see what's up.

If you're going to Maui, Big Beach, Makena would be best. If you're going to Kauai I could find out for you but if you're on Oahu, Sandys on the south shore or North shore would probably be your best bet during the winter. Let me know if your plans go through I'll give you my number and the low down on what's going around during that time.
